Melbourne Technology and Gadget Expo

This last weekend we ran an exhibition tournament and display at the Technology & Gadget Expo in Melbourne. The Saturday tournament was the highlight of the Expo drawing the biggest crowds of the day. Every match he VEX In The Zone field was surrounded by spectators cheering supporting their favorite alliances. Teams from St Mary’s Coptic Orthodox College, Maribyrnong College, Hazel Glen College and Highvale College showed thousands of Melbournites what competitive robotics really is and way it is such an engaging way of learning about STEM.

The final match was played between a St Mary’s Coptic - Highvale College red alliance and a Maribyrnong blue alliance. At the end of the day The St Mary’s - Highvale alliance took home the tournament champions award. Maribyrnong was not left empty handed though, they walked away with the Judges Award proving their exceptional design and sportsmanship.
