Robotics Tournament @ Camberwell High School

Our first major tournament is coming up on August 13th at Camberwell High School. It should be a very exciting event with approximately 20 of the top robotics teams in Melbourne. Thing will kick off at 9:30am with 8 qualifying matches for each team before moving into the finals at 1:00pm. We welcome people from the community to come and see what competitive robotics is all about.

Currently we are looking for volunteers to help out with judging and refereeing robotic matches. Judges are responsible for interviewing students on their design process and reviewing their engineering notebooks in order to determine award winners. Referees get to be right in the fast paced robotics action calling the events and enforcing the rules. It can be a very rewarding experience working with students, especially if those students share interest in robotics and engineering.

If you are interested in being part of this event don’t hesitate to contact the event organizer Travis Burroughs (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

Team registration is open at http://www.robotevents.com/re-vrc-16-4790.html.
